The Amobi Okoye Foundation hosted its Annual Kickoff 4 Kids Charity Weekend on June 10, 2017. This exciting weekend commemorated the foundation’s 10 year anniversary and collectively celebrated Amobi Okoye’s 30th birthday, a well-deserved tribute for the Autoimmune Encephalitis survivor.
Okoye, a former NFL player, launched the foundation in 2007 with a heartfelt mission to give hope to kids and communities and to build unity among the children in communities around the world. Kickoff 4 Kids (K4K) is a series of youth centered activities that provide motivation to at-risk youth to help foster positive self-esteem, inspiration, and to award academic scholarships. Also as a 100% cured survivor of Autoimmune Encephalitis, Amobi Okoye is dedicated to raising the awareness of the illness by supporting families who have also been affected by the illness.
